Get Rid of Dry Hair Once and For All

To avoid dry hair you must keep it moisturized, And for that you need to know the best homemade masks to moisturize your hair. It is not always that the answer is some expensive shampoo and conditioner, sometimes you just have to dig it in your kitchen and you will find some excellent ingredients that will help you to achieve a luscious and shining hair.




Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is one of the most effective treatments for damaged hair. It gives the hair a healthy, soft and shinning look. Coconut oil is a rich conditioner, rich in vitamin E and antioxidants that are very effective to penetrate into hair follicles moisturizing dry hair.
  • Apply coconut oil on your hair and cover it with a towel.
  • Leave it on for an hour.
  • Rinse it off and wash your hair how you regularly do.



Egg, Honey and Olive Oil

Eggs  are packed with numerous nutrients, vitamins ans proteins. The protein found in eggs is one of the highest quality you can find in any food. Eggs can be an excellent ally when it comes to dry hair. Eggs will nourish the hair roots, give your hair a natural and glossy shine, heal dry and damaged hair and also promote proper  absorption of vitamin D, which will also promote healthy hair growth.

Olive Oil has moisturizing and conditioning properties. It contains Oleic acid, which will allow this oil to penetrate deeply into hair follicles, moisturizing it, making it softer, repair damaged cells, and promote healthy hair growth.

Ingredients
  • 1 egg.
  • 3 tablespoon of honey.
  • 3 tablespoon of milk.
  • 4 tablespoon of olive oil.
Directions
  1. Mix all the ingredients together till it become a mixture.
  2. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse it off and wash your hair.




Milk and Honey mask

Milk  is  a charitable moisturizer with water, fat and proteins that can replenish the lost natural moisturizing factors of dry scalp.
Honey  is a great hair conditioner and softens the hair. It improves the hair follicles and the scalp at the same time. It also  has anti-bacterial properties that will eliminate the bacterias on your scalp that are blocking healthy hair growth and keep the scalp clean.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with half cup of milk.
  • Apply it on your hair and massage it for 2 minutes.
  • Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse it, and wash you hair.




Avocado mask

Avocado   contains fatty acids that easily penetrate deep into the scalp and hair follicles, moisturizing your hair and scalp. Avocado is also a good source of proteins and omega-3, as well as biotin. Applying a hair mask containing avocado will stop your hair from falling, heal damaged cells, and moisture your hair in a deep level.

Ingredients
  • Half of avocado.
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • 1 egg yolk.
Directions
  1. Mix well all the ingredients in a small bowl till it forms a mixture.
  2. Apply it on your hair, and cover it with a shower cap.
  3. Leave it on for 30 minutes.
  4. Wash you hair, as you do regularly.




Yogurt mask

Yogurt  will moisturize and condition the hair strands, making it look healthier, and less prone to breakage. Yogurt will not only moisturize the hair, it will also eliminate frizz, itchy scalp and dandruff.
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons of yogurt.
  • 1 egg.
  • 1 capsule of vitamin E.
Directions
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Apply it on your wet hair, and cover it with a shower cap.
  3. Leave it on for an hour.
  4. Wash your hair.




Almond Oil and Banana mask

Almond Oil is rich in vitamin E, monounsaturated fatty acids, proteins, minerals, and vitamins. With all these attributes, almond oil  is an excellent ingredient to get rid of dry hair.  Almond oil can easily penetrate the hair follicles and moisturize hair and scalp, eliminate dandruff, itchy scalp and heal all the damage caused by bacteria on your scalp.
Banana  is rich in proteins and vitamins that will heal dry and damaged hair, strengthen hair follicles and nourish the hair. Associating almond oil and banana will balance hair oil on your scalp, so this mask is great option if you are either trying to get rid of dry hair or greasy hair.

Ingredients
  • 1 egg.
  • 3 tablespoons of almond oil( warm it using your microwave).
  • 1 ripe banana.
Directions
  1. In a small bowl cut the banana into slices and smash them
  2. Add 1 egg and almond oil and mix it well until it become a mixture.
  3. Apply the mixture on your wet hair, and cover it with a shower cap.
  4. Leave it on  for 30 minutes.
  5. Wash your hair with cold water



Mayonnaise 

Mayonnaise is rich in proteins and helps making your hair soft, shiny and healthy. Mayonnaise is a famous hair treatment in Brazil, because of its nourishing properties. Mayonnaise, will nourish, condition and heal damaged scalp.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise.
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • 1 egg.
  • 1 tablespoon of almond oil.

Directions:
  1. In a small bowl mix all the ingredients  together, stir it well until you get an uniform paste.
  2. Apply the mixture on your hair, and cover your hair with a shower cap.
  3. Allow the mixture to stay on your hair for about 40 minutes.
  4. Rinse it off and wash your hair with water.



Sugar Scalp Scrub

This process helps to remove the accumulated dead skin that is causing dandruff and dryness on your scalp, blocking a healthy growth of your hair.
  •  In a small bowl mix five tablespoons of brown sugar  with olive oil or any other oil you prefer.
  • Apply this scrub on your scalp and massage gently in circular motions.
  • Rinse it off and was your hair as you usually do.
  • Repeat the process regularly.



When it comes to masks, you don't have to be afraid of making your own masks, I listed some ingredients that are really great for hair, so you can use one of the mask or use them all until you find the one that is great for your hair. You don't have to follow the exact same quantities I suggested, just calculate what will be enough for your hair. You also can stay a little bit longer than I suggested. Those are natural ingredients, so there is no way they can be harmful. There are some general tips we must use to guarantee a healthy and gorgeous hair, such as:
  • Wash your hair with the right shampoo for your hair type.
  • Drink a lot of water.
  • Do not use flat iron on wet strands.
  • Heat the oil a little bit before massaging  on your hair to allow better absorption.
  • Do not over style your hair. Reduce hair styling to once a week.
  • Make sure you use cold water to rinse you hair, never use hot water.
  • Protect your hair from harmful UV rays.
  • Moisturize your hair.
  • Do not tie tour hair tightly.
  • Massage your hair with oil before washing.
  • Do not  comb wet hair.
  • Apply  hair masks at least twice a week.
